Ashley studied law at Kingston University before completing her studies at Guildford Law School in 2002. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2004 and worked solely in criminal law throughout Kent, before moving to Surrey to continue with criminal defence work there and in London. Ashley returned to Kent and re-joined her previous firm Kent Defence where she continued with Criminal Defence work.
She works predominantly at police stations covering all cases of varying levels of seriousness, from minor offences to murders, and has a strong own client following due to her regular attendances.
Ashley also attends the Magistrates Courts and enjoys preparing cases for trial as well as assisting the Crown Court department in the preparation of their cases.
Whilst at Kent Defence, she dedicated considerable time to drafting and updating the firms’ case and file management forms, policies and procedures in order to ensure the firm worked as efficiently as possible with detail to client care being of the utmost importance. She successfully gained the firm their Lexcel accreditation and remains in a supervisory role since the recent merge with Tuckers in 2016.
